A few months ago, I published a blog post where I highlighted some of my favorite gifts that I thought would be perfect for any book lover in your life! I did my best to highlight small businesses (many that I found through Etsy or social media). After writing that article, I simply couldn't resist the urge to treat myself. One of the shops featured in that post restocked their Taylor Swift--inspired Blind Date With a Book listing---which I was eyeing for months-- and I ordered two of them! You can read that post here.
Today, I wanted to talk about the Speak Now Blind Date With a Book that I just got from this shop to celebrate the release of the album!

Autumn Leaves Bookshop You know how much I love Taylor Swift and if you don't, I am about to tell you.
I am a diehard Swiftie---like would've given up my first born for a ticket to her Eras Tour (which I unfortunately was unable to get...Thanks for nothing, Ticketmaster). On more than one occasion, I have featured Taylor on the blog. Once I talked about seeing her in 2017 on her Reputation Stadium Tour (which was a truly life-altering experience), I made an entire post dedicated to her most recent album release, and I paired some of my favorite books with songs from Taylor's discography.
One day when I was scrolling TikTok, as I often do for hours on end, I came across an Etsy shop that was advertising their Blind Date With a Book. This wasn't just any Blind Date With a Book...it was a Taylor Swift themed Blind Date With a Book! Talk about my dreams come true! After some further investigation, I quickly discovered that the packaging was the most stunning thing I have ever seen. I love the effort and the intricate details that are put into every order! Though I haven't yet purchased from this shop, I am hoping to very soon. This shop offers some Blind Date With a Books that are themed after one of Taylor's general albums but they also have some options for specific songs! I love this idea and think it would be great for Taylor lovers who want to get into reading, readers who want to get into Taylor's music, and those of you who (like me) are both a Taylor lover and a book lover.
For those who aren't Taylor fans...develop some taste-----I am totally kidding, kind of! This shop also has a Blind Date With a Book that is Astrology themed. How cool is that?!

If you are unfamiliar, a 'Blind Date with a Book' is essentially a curated and wrapped book. The idea is that someone else chooses a book, wraps it up, and someone else (sometimes the reader but in this case, the shop owner) selects the wrapped book to read/gift. I have seen this at Barnes & Noble before, I have seen it on TikTok, and I've even wrapped some books at the library that I volunteer at! Typically, at an in-person retailer/library, the books are labeled with a genre or specific plot points/characteristics that help the reader choose a book that would be better suited to their taste.
Autumn Leaves Bookshop is so cool and unique! I got to choose specific Taylor Swift albums (The three albums that I have chosen are Lover, Speak Now, & Evermore) and the shop owner curated my books according to the aesthetic of the albums and the vibes of the song/lyricism for each.
You guys know that I am a book cover enthusiast, but you may not know that I am a sucker for pretty wrapping! All of these books came wrapped so beautifully that I didn't even want to risk opening them. In my first post, I said I was debating keeping them wrapped and using them as decor--that's how stunning they have all been!

After I unwrapped the Speak Now book, I discovered that inside was a book called, Love Radio! I didn't currently have this book and hadn't read it, so this was such a welcomed addition to my bookshelf!

This book sounds so cute, I can't wait to pick it up! I love this because it allows me to discover books that I may not have picked or been introduced to otherwise!
These books are high on the list of my favorite bookish things that I have ever bought for myself. It would be the best gift for yourself or a loved one!
